SPRING TIME ON THE FARM – Lamb Experience – 23/03/2024
March 23
£5.00£25.00SPRING TIME ON THE FARM – A unique farm experience for all the family!
Come and join us on the farm for an indoor lambing experience at our Lochton Farm where you will have the chance to meet me, Grace (Shepherdess), the ewes and their newborn lambs (you may even see a live lambing). You will also have the opportunity to cuddle the lambs and have plenty photo opportunities!
I will spend some time telling you what makes lambing such an enjoyable time on the farm, what happens during the rest of the Ewes and Lambs year – from shearing of their wool in Summer to getting ready for breeding time in Winter.
During and after your experience there will be hand-washing facilities and hand gel available to ensure good hygiene safety.
We will also have our snack trailer on site, which will be open for the purchase of soft drinks, cakes, tray bakes and soup after your tour! Perfect for a picnic or taking with you if you choose to enjoy the short 1.7km walk around the farm to take in the wildlife, views and other animals on the farm – benches and information boards are scattered around the farm.
Don’t forget to say hello to the horses in the stables and meet the Lochside Clydesdale and learn about the experience and work they do on the farm elsewhere!
Dogs are welcome to the farm walk but are NOT permitted on the lambing experience or in the stables.
No food or drink is allowed to be consumed in the lambing shed for health and hygiene reasons.
Use of hand washing facilities and hand gel is strongly encouraged when in contact with farm animals and their surroundings.
Tour duration: 1 Hour (MULTIPLE TIME SLOTS AVAILABLE, PLEASE CHOOSE THE CORRECT TIME)
